TV Cartoons,

TV cartoons have certainly come a long way. In the earlier part of the 20th century cartoons were very predictable. Many were based on the classic superhero characters made popular in comic books. Some others popular cartoons were provided by the Looney Tunes characters such as Bugs Bunny and Porky Pig. As the 20th century progresses other comic book characters such as the Archies and Josie and the Pussycats made their way into the world of TV cartoons. There were a few other shows of the time that were centered on unusual family units. Examples of this include The Flintstones and The Jetsons. As the 20th century came to a close the beginning of the era of cartoons intended for an older audience was beginning. South Park was one of the first of this breed. Other popular cartoons of this type include The Simpsons and King of the Hill.
